Sunny Xu

Sunny joined GCI in 2024 as an Investment Analyst and was promoted to Investment Manager in January 2026. He plays an important role in helping to grow the firm’s Asset Backed Finance strategy.

He started his career in 2019 as an intern with KPMG Australia working in their Global Transfer Pricing Services team. Sunny then moved to Westpac through their Finance Graduate Programme and rotated through various finance business partnering roles before moving to the Corporate Development (M&A) team. In this role, he spent over two years working across all aspects of M&A activity, including executing a number of strategic investments, acquisitions, and divestments for Westpac Group.

Sunny holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of New South Wales. He is currently a CFA Level 2 Candidate.
