Jacob joined GCI in June 2015. As Chief Risk Officer he oversees fund investments and ongoing position monitoring.
Before joining GCI, Jacob worked for JP Morgan Chase, where he was responsible for the management of a distressed consumer debt purchasing business. He also spent several years on the fixed income trading desk.
Previously, Jacob had been a quantitative analyst in securitisation and structured finance at Threadneedle Asset Management in London, and Babcock and Brown in Sydney.
Jacob holds Bachelor of Commerce (Actuarial Studies)/Bachelor of Applied Finance degrees from Macquarie University, as well as a Master of Quantitative Finance from the University of Technology Sydney. Jacob has also previously qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia.
